The 4th annual Run Against Slavery will be on Sunday September 20, 2015. It is a walk/run to help bring awareness of the issue of human trafficking and raise funds for non-profit organizations involved in rescue and restoration of victims. It will be held at Bosco Plaza on the K-State campus in Manhattan, KS.
Registration/check-in is at 3:30pm and the run starts at 4pm. There will be both a 5K and a 1 mile route and prizes for the top male and female runners of each distance. Both routes will start at Bosco Plaza just north of the K-State Student Union in Manhattan. The event will be held in rain or shine. Bringing awareness signs on the walk is welcomed. This is not a closed course. Please take caution if you are going to push a stroller, run with a dog or listen to music.
This year we will be marking the course with flags instead of chalk to prevent the same confusion that occurred last year. To those whose race time was affected by this confusion last year, we again sincerely apologize.
The registration fee will be announced TBD. Shirts are $15 per shirt and there will also be a raffle. For online registration, fill out the registration form to the right. Online paying is now available (bottom right).
