Please Sign this Petition to Pass Safe Harbor Laws For Human Trafficking Victims
Polaris Project needs your help passing Safe Harbor laws in 2013. You can sign here: http://www.polarisproject.org/safeharbor
"What's a Safe Harbor law? It's a law which defines commercially sexually exploited children as victims of abuse, help them find protection and support, and grant them immunity from prosecution for prostitution while they are under 18 years of age. They also increase funding for specialized services like long-term housing, mental health care, educational support, and job training to help these children recover. 39 states lack these basic Safe Harbor protections but we're trying to fix that. Together we can end this profound injustice."
Let's not persecute victims of human trafficking, but protect them. Please sign this petition and share it with your friends and family. Thank you so much for your help.
